Vegetable production is what originally drew us to farming here on the Western Slope. We wanted to grow enough food to feed ourselves year round on land that we owned, and so that is what we did! The Cedaredge area is historically an apple orchard growing region, but we've found that it is a sweet spot for growing veggies, too. Our farm is located on a gentle, southwest-facing slope that allows for optimal sunshine and beautiful production of many of our favorite crops including tomatoes and peppers.
Additionally, we grow in two hoophouses which provide passive solar energy and the option to produce cold-tolerant crops year-round.
